Brown noise: generated or recorded?
Brown FM makes new sound as you listen, so there’s no track to restart. A recording plays an existing stretch of sound. The useful difference is whether you want a fixed track or direct control over how the sound is made.
What repeating actually means
A recording can be long and seamlessly looped. It doesn’t have to click, pause, or sound obviously repetitive. But once it repeats, the same fluctuations return. A live generator keeps producing new samples instead of returning to the beginning of a file.
Change the sound at its source
In Brown FM, Depth and Texture change the generated frequency balance, Space adjusts stereo width, and Movement varies the tone over time. You can save the combination that suits your room or headphones.
A recording fixes the original sound, though its player may still provide volume, an equalizer, and other processing. Choose a recording when you already like that exact sound; choose Brown FM when you want to keep shaping it.
Check playback separately
Live generation does not, by itself, guarantee uninterrupted playback or offline access. Calls, audio routes, timers, and purchase access are separate concerns. Brown FM supports offline playback after access has been verified; purchasing, restoring, and occasional verification need a connection.
